Religion and Theology
Something like that might be said for most of the readings in this collection. With the exception of the Scriptural excerpts, they are not religious writings in the full sense of the world.
It may even be stretching things a bit to describe some of them as theological. But they all raise questions that the thoughtful religious believer should consider, questions even the nonbeliever has no right tio ignore.
Two central ideas from the body of Roman Catholic thought stuck me as I read through this little book and the asigned readings from Great Books of the Western World. The first was the emphasis Catholic Tradition puts on reason.
The theological enterprise is one to which the Catholic is called. Anything that enriches his understanding of the truths he holds by faith is forever welcome.
