Working Papers From The Program In Law & Society Number 2 Some Historical Aspects Of Law And Social Change In The United States
This is the second in a series of papers reporting work in progress by students, faculty and visiting scholars associated with the National Institute of Mental Health Training Program in Law and Society at the Center for the Study of Law and Society, University of California, Berkeley.
This paper was delivered as an informal talk in the 1972-73 film and speaker series dealing with problems of law. The series, an integral part of the training program, was publically offered in order that the community could also participate in the program and develop an interest in legal workings.
Mr.Friedman is a Professor of Law at Stanford University School of Law. He is currently involved in a comparative study of Law in six countries under an AID grant held jointly with Professor John Merryman.
