Before the outbreak of the National Revolution of Indonesia, namely before the Proclamation of the Independence of the People and Country pierced the sky on the 17th August 1945, the native land of Indonesia was under the yoke of Japanese coloialism.
This period can not be wiped out from the minds of the Indonesian people as long as they live. It seems unnecessary to reiterate the bitter experiences the Indonesian people underwent, because the main aim of this review is to tell the story of the birth and the sturggle of the National Indonesian Army (Tentara Nasional Indonesia - T.N.I)
