Judicial Independence: The Contemporary Debate
The purpose of this volume is to present the contemporary debate on judical independence in an international and comparative perspective. This book analyzes the concept of judicial independence in all its aspects and dimensions. Among the issues studied are collective judicial independence, the relationship between judiciary and the Executive, models of judicial accountability, procedures and grounds for judicial removal and discipline, models of responsibility for court administration, and standarts of conduct on and off the bench.
